I've been swept away by an embarrassment of riches this week! Lido Pimienta is a wonderfully whimsical Colombian songwriter/vocalist who I've just become aware of. Her slow Cumbia/HipHop style is magical. A marriage of folk and urban influences charming and unsettling at the same time. I'll keep this brief so that you can enjoy the treasures she presents - her approach to contemporary music is both original and fantastic!!!
